Don’t get confuse with Poinsettia because it is not really the flowers that gets colored but its leaves. This shrub is very famous especially during Christmas season. It is use as decoration. It is also commonly known as noche buena. Its binomial name is Euphorbia pulcherrima.

Euphorbia pulcherrima is a shrub or small tree, typically reaching a height of 0.6 to 4 m (2 to 16 ft). The plant bears dark green dentate leaves that measure 7 to 16 cm (3 to 6 inches) in length. The colored bracts—which are most often flaming red but can be orange, pale green, cream, pink, white or marbled—are actually leaves.

Good morning folks! We just arrived from a friend’s birthday party. It was again a memorable and joyful celebration. One more week to go and Christmas is here. Did you already wrap your Christmas presents? It is always nice to give gifts especially to our dear loveones and friends. Sad to say, I am jobless and I can only afford small presents. Hubby had been asking me the past days what present I would like to have this Christmas. I want to tell him that I love gold bars because it is one of the best investment at this present economic crisis. I know it cost a lot and that is the reason why I only ask for another thing. I told him that I really don’t need a Christmas present because I already have all the basic things I need in life. His love and presence is already the best gift I ever had. Lastly, no matter how big or small the present we recieve this coming Christmas holiday, the best thing is, it is coming from the heart of the giver. Merry Christmas everyone!

This is another interesting architecture I visited in Europe. This is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg commonly called as Strasbourg Cathedral. It is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Strasbourg, France. It is considered to be among the finest examples of high, or late, Gothic architecture. Its construction started in 1176.

At 142 metres, it was the world’s tallest building from 1647 to 1874, when it was surpassed by St. Nikolai’s Church, Hamburg. Today it is the sixth-tallest church in the world.

Good morning! I am quite tired right now. We just arrived some hours ago from our trip. Visiting Zurich is quite nice especially its Christmas market. Zurich is the largest city of Switzerland and I am glad that I had been there finally.
