I believed most of you know about the Euro Currency. It is the monetary unit and the official currency of the European Union. Actually, only 16 out of 27 EU countries are using this currency. These countries are Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. The euro has an € sign and a EUR code.

Euro is said to be the second most traded currency in the whole world next to U.S. dollar.

Below are the hundred Euro bills. This money is already enough to pay for a plane ticket back in my home country..lol! Merry Christmas everyone and have a nice weekend too!

The name euro was officially adopted on 16 December 1995. The euro was introduced to world financial markets as an accounting currency on 1 January 1999, replacing the former European Currency Unit (ECU) at a ratio of 1:1. Euro coins and banknotes entered circulation on 1 January 2002.

Another year is coming soon. Four days more to go and 2011 will be here. This is also the time of the year when our car insurances will be due. That is also the reason why hubby tried to find an affordable car insurance last month. He was so happy because he found cheaper ones in the internet. We were bargaining with our old insurance company if they can give us the same price like in the internet but they said they can’t. Imagine the same insurance company but doing it through internet is cheaper. I asked the insurance agent why it is like that. He told me that it is because of their personal service. In the first place, we really don’t experience a good customer service with this insurance agents. We ended up cancelling our insurance contract with them and did it through internet. We are thankful that we saved more than a hundred bucks Euro with our new car insurance.

Nuremberg is a city in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It is one of the cities in Germany which is famous for its Christkindlesmarkt or Christmas market. This event is held every year in the Hauptmarkt or Main market where some of its famous sights like Schöner Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain) and Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) are also located.

Around two millions of guests and visitors from all over the world and nearby towns and cities visit this event every year. Fascinating handmade ornaments and delicacies are also well known in this Christmas market. Don’t forget to taste the Nuremberg Bratwurst (sausage) and savor the warm Glühwein (mulled wine) to keep you warm during this cold winter time.

Other famous Christmas markets in Germany include Dresden, Stuttgart, Erfurt, Jena and Augsburg.

Hello folks! Christmas day is over but we have to remember that we can always celebrate it everyday. I hope that you all had a wonderful and memorable celebration of Christmas. Yes, we did! Christmas Eve, we spent it with family eating dinner all together. During Christmas day, we were invited to take part in a friend’s party. I believed this friend of mine deserved three trophies for being a good cook, a great mother and a nice friend. That was a lovely evening we had last night plus the delicious food that Joy had prepared. It was truly a plentiful and bountiful celebration of Christmas. Thanks God for all the blessings and gracesand for the good friends around!
