The Strasbourg Cathedral in France

This is another interesting architecture I visited in Europe. This is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg commonly called as Strasbourg Cathedral. It is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Strasbourg, France. It is considered to be among the finest examples of high, or late, Gothic architecture. Its construction started in 1176.

At 142 metres, it was the world’s tallest building from 1647 to 1874, when it was surpassed by St. Nikolai’s Church, Hamburg. Today it is the sixth-tallest church in the world.

Some of the beautiful glass windows of the cathedral.

These images were taken during our trip last December 13, 2010. I love this city and wish to visit it again in the future. in God’s will!
