Party! Party! There are always parties everywhere. I attended again a party yesterday and it was truly fun and memorable. It was a golden birthday because our new friend just turned 50 that day. Two weeks ago, I also attended two parties. The other one is a birthday party of a young boy who just turned 1 year old. I gave him a take me home outfit which her mother liked very much. The other party is a christening which was also full of fun.

Being a sociable person, I always love meeting new acquaintances during parties. I simply love talking to people.

It was winter during the month of March when we visited Avila. I thought it was not so cold in Avila like in Madrid, Spain but it was really freezing cold. The blowing of the wind made more cold and chilly. I ended up buying a pullover in one of the souvenir shops in Avila located near the tourist office.

Have you heard about St. Teresa of Avila? I just read a part of it online and I believed how lucky I am to visit Avila. I would suggest to my dear readers to also browse this saint online. Her life is truly interesting.

I was talking with a lady I met in one of the parties I attended. She said that she wants to visit this city in Spain. She was also in Madrid but did not had the chance to visit Avila.

This Spanish city is located in Castile and Leon. It is famous for its medieval walls. It is known by many as the “City of Pebbles and Saints.” I find the city very interesting and if I have the chance to visit it again in the future, I would surely do.

Ski

Quebec Ice Hotel (also known as Hotel De Glace)

Visiting an ice hotel is clearly a unique experience. And in Quebec you are able to do precisely that between the months of January and March. The hotel is built out of 15,000 tons of snow and 500,000 tons of ice. It has 36 rooms and suites and can accommodate 88 guests per night. The walls are approximately 4 feet thick. It is built every year in December before being demolished in April. All of the furniture is made out of ice and if you drink at the ice bar then you will be drinking out of an ice-glass!

To see all of these magnificent things you will have to venture from wherever you call home and come to Canada. If you find that travelling is often something you love to do why not cut the cost of these frequent flights and save up for them whilst you’re out shopping. The Blue Sky near the park in Palacio Real in Madrid, Spain. I visited this palace for a lot of times when I was in Madrid last December 2011 and March 2012.

The sheep love the green green  grass in this area. If Greece is proud of its Parthenon,  Germany has also its own, the Walhalla in Donaustauf near Regensburg in Bavaria. It is still under renovation.

The Earl’s Court Underground Station in London, England. I would love to visit UK again.

Summer time is festival time  in Germany especially in the state of Bayern or Bavaria.  There are a lot of festivals that are going on and around our area. In two days, the so-called “Little Brother  of Oktoberfest” is about to begin. It is considered  to be the second  largest folk festival in Bavaria after Munich’s Oktoberfest.

The Gäubodenvolksfest is an annual festival in the independent city of Straubing in  Lower Bavaria. This year’s festival is a special one because it is the 200th  anniversary  celebration. There will be a lot of events going on during the festival.

The festival will take place  from August 10-20, 2012. The highlight of the program is the Jubilee parade held on August 19, 2012 at  2:00 PM. Experience Bavarian culture through  Gäubodenvolksfest. See you there!

he Gäubodenvolksfest is a modern and family friendly festival with about 120 carousels, roller coasters and six big beer tents with 25.000 seats at an area of about 90.000 m²., but it has upheld its traditional character. Many of the about 1.2 million visitors wear Bavarian costume (“Trachten”).
