This year’s Oktoberfest celebration is a special one because it is its 200th Anniversary. That is also the reason why I really convinced hubby to go with me tomorrow in Munich. I mentioned yesterday that we should normally go there next Saturday but since I want to see the historical parade I finally convinced hubby to go with me. Oktoberfest is a part of Bavarian culture and the people of Bavaria are always happy to welcome visitors from around the world to see and experience the biggest festival in the globe.

I remember the tulips last spring time from our garden. I was reminded again today because I saw some weekly advertisements that were sent to us yesterday. Most grocery shops and garden centers nearby are selling again tulip bulbs for the next spring time. I can’t wait to see again the tulip flowers in the next spring season.

I visited for the first time the Olympiapark in Munich, Bavaria, Germany last 2009. It is the Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. I would love to visit it again next time and make a tour around the area.

The Olympiapark is located in the so-called “Oberwiesenfeld” or the “upper meadow field” in Munich. It now serves as a venue for social, cultural and any religious events. You can see the Schwimmhalle (swimming hall) and the pond here where some water sports are being held. If I probably live near this area, I would love to go walking here when the weather is nice. I was munching my favorite potato chips awhile ago. I am trying to avoid eating junk foods now because I am trying to lose some extra weight. I know I can’t lose weight fast but at least, I am trying my best now. It takes time and self-discipline and I hope it will have a positive result.
Anyway, back to main topic. I was asking hubby if we can go to the Oktoberfest this coming Sunday. He said that he can’t go that day because he will be working the next day. I was so sad because I want to especially see the parade. I had been there twice but was not able to see the historical parade. He also don’t allow me to go alone because of some reasons like emergencies. There are always a lot of people during this festival since it is the biggest fair in the world. Hubby wanted that we will go there a week after its opening. That would be then on September 25. I will see if I can convince hubby again tomorrow.

The lavender flowers are still blooming in our garden. Some more days or weeks and they will all be away soon. Autumn is almost coming. The leaves of some trees in our garden are slowly falling down now. Some flowers are also withering due to the cold temperature especially during the night.
