My weekend was so far a great one with lots of fun and parties. The last one is not really good when you are on diet but I love food anyway. We went to a friend’s birthday party last Saturday. We thought she has a lot of visitors but it was only a few of us. The most important thing was, we had a wonderful time celebrating her birthday. She was also very happy with our simple gifts.
If you are looking for a girlfriend or boyfriend birthday gifts online, for sure you can find a lot when browsing in the net. Birthday gifts are sometimes hard to find but with the help of internet, it is already as easy as eating peanut. Agree folks?
Have a wonderful week to all!

I have not seen that much of Verona but I was happy to be there. It was almost a year now since our last visit. A friend invited me to go with them. No second thoughts! I grabbed the chance immediately.
One thing that caught my attention near the Arena di Verona is an equestrian statue. This monument is dedicated to Victorio Emanuele II of Savoy (1820-1878),the first king of Italy and nicknamed the “gentleman”.
The equestrian statue of Victorio Emanuele II of Savoy located in a garden near the Arena in Verona. This was taken during our trip last July 2011.
The monument was erected for the reasons written on the base: “on the fifth anniversary of his death, tears are shed for him by the whole of the civilized world: January 9, 1883.” It is to thank the sovereign who “with wonderful virtue made a weak and divided Italy into an independent and free whole”.

It was so far a memorable celebration. It was the graduation party of Jean aka Aes held last June 30, 2012. He finally graduated in high school last month. I also attended his graduation ceremony which also reminded me of my graduation back in high school and college.
There were sumptuous foods served during the party. Singing and dancing were also performed. There were two mics being used but I wish that good audix microphones were used for singing. Well, the most important thing is, everyone truly had a blast! Friends once again had a get-together during that party. It was truly a wonderful time chit-chatting with friends.
Congratulation Aes and wish you good luck in all your plans and undertakings!

Three months had passed since my last visit in Madrid, Spain. After being informed by my landlady that Dr. Jose Rizal has a monument somewhere in Madrid, I decided to go here one day. Thanks to the travel guide I had with me during the time when I was in Madrid. I actually googled about the location of Dr. Jose Rizal’s monument and after some information online about it. I was able to find it the site where it is located. Thanks also to the subway map and the map of Madrid where I was always successful in finding a certain sight in Spain’s capital.
Dr. Jose Rizal is the national hero of the Philippines. I admire him so much because of his special ability, being a multilinguist, also known as polylinguist.

José Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896), was a Filipino polymath, patriot and the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He is regarded as the foremost Filipino patriot and is listed as one of the national heroes of the Philippines by the National Heroes Committee.[5] His execution day in 1896, now known as Rizal Day, is a national holiday in the Philippines. more here.
He was a prolific poet, essayist, diarist, correspondent, and novelist whose most famous works were his two novels, Noli me Tangere and El filibusterismo.

Hi everyone! I finally have my first update for July in this blog. This happened last week when I did some errands. One of it is going to the bank and pay some bills. Some of our bills especially the insurance ones are not auto-debit. It means that it is not automatically deducted in our bank account. I also printed the statements by inserting my card in a machine that only prints bank statements. I found out that the insurances for our two cars were already deducted last July 2.
Yesterday when I had a conversation with hubby during breakfast time, I was asking him if I still need a professional liability insurance. He said that I really don’t need it since I am not working at the moment. We also tacked about term life insurance and home renovations. It is so far a nice week I had.
I guess I am off to bed now. It is getting very late now. Goodnight folks!
