We are hosting a party every year especially during my birthday. I could still remember during the past 8 years, when we were using marquees to hold my birthday party. We have quite a big garden where we celebrate every year my birthday party. During the past celebrations, there were times that it rained. Thanks to the water-roof and really stable marquee we have in our garden. But I guess this year, we need a new one.
This year is another year that calls for a celebration. It commemorates my 10 years of living an expat life in Europe. It is also a special year because I will be celebrating my 4th decade natal day. So far, I can say that I am living a great and wonderful life. I am enjoying my simple but happy living with my other half. I have all the basic things I need in my day to day living. I don’t drive a luxury car but happy to drive one that will bring me anywhere. We also have a house that we call our home! What more can I ask for?

I love this marquee and can’t wait to have it in our garden. (more…)

I am finally back home and back to reality again! I am loving Ireland and hate to say goodbye.. This is always one thing that makes me sad….when the journey is over!
I am missing Ireland at the moment and wish I can stay longer. There are so many beautiful sights to see and a week was just not enough to see everything but I am glad and thankful for the chance to see this beautiful country. I might go back there in the future again. That 7-day trip to Ireland let me experienced many things. I can say I had great travel memories there. It was wonderful indeed visiting this part of Europe.

Friends just come and go! It always makes me sad when someone who has been a part of my life is leaving. I am actually talking about friends here who are leaving in a few months. We live near one of the US Bases in Germany. From here, I meet a lot of friends who are married to American soldiers. Usually, they are allowed to stay in one of the bases for 3 years if their stay will not be extended.
I had a talk tonight with a good friend who is also leaving soon. She said that a removal company was already hired by the US Army to ship and transport all their household stuffs to their new assignment in Korea. She told me that she is slowly trying to gather and sort things inside their house before the removal company comes to pick-up all their stuffs including furniture like bedroom set, dining set, garden furniture, car shipping, personal belongings and many more. She also told me that she is trying to get rid of many things they don’t need anymore. This is one thing that made her busy the past weeks. (more…)

Last week, I y received a confirmation for this 7-day trip to Ireland. I booked it last January 2013 since it was the cheapest trip I can find going there.
Our flight will start from Munich, Germany to Dublin, Ireland. Our itinerary include many places to visit including its capital city. On the second day, we will have a sigthseeing tour in Dublin and after that we will proceed to Lisdoonvarna, a spa town. Third day, we will have a trip to Connemara including the famous Kylemore Abbey, a Benedictine monastery founded in 1920 on the grounds of Kylemore Castle, in Connemara, County Galway.
