See You Soon Ireland

I am glad and totally happy to see  and to experience Ireland very soon. This is one of the countries I wish to see in Europe. Some more days and I will be finally visiting it. Last week, I y received  a confirmation for this 7-day trip to Ireland. I booked  it last January 2013 since it was the cheapest trip I can find going there.

Our flight will start from Munich, Germany to Dublin, Ireland. Our itinerary include many places to visit including its capital city. On the second day, we will have a sigthseeing tour in Dublin and  after that we will proceed to Lisdoonvarna, a spa town.  Third day, we will have a trip to Connemara including the famous Kylemore Abbey, a Benedictine monastery founded in 1920 on the grounds of Kylemore Castle, in Connemara, County Galway.

During the fourth day, its time to pack our luggage again and head to the south. Our first stop, will be Enis. It is a county town of County Clare in Ireland situated on the River Fergu. Its name is a shortening of the original Inis Cluain Ramh Fhada (“island of the long rowing meadow”).

On the 5th day, we will be visiting the Ring of Kerry, a tourist trail in County Kerry, south-western Ireland. This beautiful landscape in this area makes it to be one of the famous tourist destination in Ireland. We will also visit Muckross House, Killarney National Park and some other sights in this area. We will have an overnight somewhere in Kerry.

6th Day- After our breakfast at the hotel, we will visit Cork. It is the second largest city in the state and the third most populous on the island of Ireland. I am quite excited to visit some of its famous sights including St. Finbarr’s Cathedral, University College Cork, Lewis Gluckman Gallery and more. Cork is the European Culture City in 2005. After that, we will also visit Kilkenny, known in irish as Cill Chainnigh, meaning “church of Cainnech”. I will see what are the famous sights or thing to do in this place. After that, we will head back to our 3-star hotel in Dublin.

On the 7th day, it is time to say “Slan abhaile”,h an Irish phrase used to bid goodbye to someone who is travelling home. It literally means “Safe Home”.

I will see what adventures are waiting for me in this part of Europe. I am traveling again alone but with a group. See you soon Ireland! Photos will be uploaded  after this trip.
