With this this cold weather in our area, I wish I am in Monterosso al Mare right now. It seems that winter is coming back! I am not wishing for it and still hoping for a better weather the next days. ..a warm sunny weather!
I was browsing some albums from my previous travels in 2011 and found some pictures taken during our trip in Italy. One of the towns we visited was Monterosso al Mare. It is one of the villages in Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It was April 2011 when I and some friends had a trip in this part of Italy. The weather was perfect that time. It was sunny and you can even a shirt and short when going around.
The beach at Monterosso runs along most of the coast line and is well used by tourists and locals. The beach is the only extensive sand beach in the Cinque Terre. Monterosso is a small town that in the summer months is overrun by tourists. Taken during our visit last April 2011. © www.rubybenz.com

Not another travel again! Yes, I did booked last week another trip again. This time it is a short 4-day trip to Switzerland and Italy. I am happy that I will be travelling again soon.
The past two months was history for me. I travelled to 12 countries for the period of two months. I can’t believed, I was able to visit twelve in the span of two months. Among the countries I visited were Lichtenstein, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Netherlands, Norway and Denmark. The longing of having a new bathroom was finally granted! After some years of bearing and using an old and quite dilapidated bathroom, we are finally done with the total renovation. The dirt and dust were finally over. It is almost half a year now since we are using our newly renovated bathroom. It is one of the major home projects we planned for years. There are still a lot of home project that are lining up. We are just slowly doing it year after year.
Last spring 2012, we started our bathroom renovation. During the planning period, we started to look for Fitted Bathroom Furniture, tiles to be used on the floor and on the the walls, colour of the bathtub (our old one was yellow), materials and colours of shelves and cabinets and other furniture and accessories needed in it. We ordered a set of bathroom furniture online. One of my friends gave us a three tier glass bathroom storage shelves. I bought a very cheap glass shelf made of chrome in a discount shop for 15.00 Euros. I also bought new towel holders and toilet paper holder.

That was a fun day! I guess it was my third or fourth time attending a baby shower. A friend is about to give birth to a baby boy soon. A baby shower was organized by good friends. Sumptuous foods were served that day. Some contest and games were also held. I won a puzzle game. It is about a puzzle of the baby boy’s name. After all the games and dinner, we did some karaoke singing. You have to expect this part if you are attending a Filipino party. (more…)
