Hello folks! Another weekend is almost over. I hope you are having a nice one. We had today a beautiful weather. We had sunshine and blue sky. It seems that spring is coming soon but hubby said that winter will come again. I hope not. The snow are slowly melting and are almost gone.
Anyway, I am very happy to hear from a friend who gave birth to a baby boy December. Her whole family are so happy. We are also glad for them since it’s their first boy in the family. I guess she need to click here to know what to do after giving birth. Sometimes Mothers just have problems on how to get rid of their stretch marks. It is not a problem nowadays since we already have high-tech medicine and cosmetology.
Here is also an image taken during our walk this afternoon. See the snow are not traceable now. What a lovely day indeed!

It is a year now since I last witnessed Sinulog, the biggest festival in Cebu City, Philippines. It is an annual festival held every third Sunday of January in honor of Santo Niño (the Holy Child Jesus. It is a dance ritual that commemorates the Cebuano people’s Islamic and pagan origin, and their acceptance of Roman Catholicism.
This festival has been a tourist attraction in Cebu. Here are images and information about this famous festival. These were taken during my vacation in the Philippines last year.
The festival features a street parade with participants in bright colored costumes dancing to the rhythm of drums, trumpets and native gongs. Smaller versions of the festival are held in various parts of the province, also to celebrate and honor the Santo Niño. There is also a “Sinulog sa Kabataan” performed by the youths of Cebu a week before the parade. Recently, the festival has been promoted as a tourist attraction, with a contest featuring contingents from various parts of the country. The Sinulog Contest is usually held in the Cebu City Sports Complex.
The word Sinulog comes from the Cebuano adverb sulog which is “like water current movement,” which describes the forward-backward movement of the Sinulog dance. The dance consists of two steps forward and one step backward, done to the sound of drums. The dance is categorized into Sinulog-base, Free-Interpretation. Candle vendors at the Basilica continue to perform the traditional version of the dance when lighting a candle for the customer, usually accompanied by songs in the native language.

The Sinulog dance steps were believed to originate from Rajah Humabon’s adviser, Baladhay. It was during Humabon’s grief when Baladhay was driven sick. He then ordered his native tribe to bring Baladhay into a chapel where the Santo Niño was enthroned. Moments later, surprisingly, Baldhay was heard shouting and was found dancing with outmost alertness. Baladhay was questioned as to whether why was he awake and was shouting. Baladhay explained that he found a small child, pointing to the image of the Santo Niño, on top of him and trying to wake him up. He, at great astonishment, scared the child away by shouting but couldn’t explain why he was dancing the movements of the river. Up to this day, the two-steps forward, and the one-step backward movement dance is still used by the Santo Niño devotees believing that it was the Santo Niño’s choice to have Baladhay dance. more Sinulog infos here

I don’t know how many of you out there who want to disagree or agree with me. I simply believed that food and travel goes together! Sometimes and even most of the times, sightseeing in a certain place needs a lot of walking. After some hours of walk, you felt hungry and wanted to eat. I feel and do the same. Now, I have a problem on how to get rid of belly fat because everytime I travel, I also eat a lot. I always wanted to try the specialties and delicacies of that place. You also feel happy and contented when your stomach is full. Second, walking requires a lot of energy, thus eating is a must.
I remember a very long walk we had during our visit to the Olympiapark in Munich and the English Garden last 2009. It was a bit tiring but we had fun. As I told hubby that I am hungry, he immediately find the nearest fastfood and restaurant. He knows I get crazy when I feel so hungry…just kidding guys!

It is a year now since I had my last vacation in my home country. I miss those times and how I wish that I am there right now.
One of the places we visited was the island of Bohol, located in the Central Visayas region in the Philippines. Actually, it was already my second visit to this island and if maybe given the time to visit this place again and again, I will for sure grab and take it.
Quick reminder for those who have acne problems, there are a lot of information about this kind of skin problem at buyacnesolutions.com.
Bohol has been one of the major tourist destinations in the Philippines because of its nearby beautiful fine beaches especially in Panglao island. The Chocolate Hills, Blood Compact Monument and the Philippine Tarsier, considered to be the smallest monkey in the world, are only some of the sights in this island.
