This is one of the sidetrips I wish to do when I am in Madrid. I was finally there! This is one of the places I don’t expect to visit but most of the time dreams always come true. The day trip we had to Alcala de Henares was worth it. We rode the Cercanias Spanish train from Sol, Madrid going to this city. It is only around 35 km away from Madrid.
Alcala de Henares’ historical centre is included in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Its name means Citadel on the river Henares.
Sights to see include the Cervantes Square, the Cathedral of the Santos Niños, the University, Archbishop’s Palace, House of Hyppolytus, El Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes, Complutum, Archaeological Museum and Hospital Our Lady of the Mercy or Antezana.
I have to get ready now to go to Islas Filipinas in Madrid, Spain. It is nice and sunny outside which is perfect for sightseeing. More updates to come when I will be backed home.

What would you prefer wearing uniforms at work or simply wearing casual clothes when you are at your workplace? I prefer wearing uniforms. I remember wearing uniforms when I was still working at the bank before. It was long time ago. You don’t need to worry about what to wear daily when going to work. With uniforms, it is easier and you look professional. I remember my sister who is also wearing dickies scrubs from Marcus uniforms. She works as a nurse in Las Vegas and I love her uniforms. I hope that you also love wearing uniforms when there is one. If not, you might need a lot of clothes for your daily work.

It was quite an adventure I had in Segovia last Tuesday. After a lot of queries and research, I am happy that I finally found out where to ride the bus, metro and train going to this historic town. I wish to tell the whole story when I will be backed to Germany next month. Yes, I will be staying longer in Madrid, the capital city of Spain.
Segovia is a very interesting city. It is not so far from Madrid. Riding the fast Renfe Spanish train only takes 28 minutes from Chamatin station to Segovia train station. You also have to take another 15 minutes ride with the bus going to the historic center of Segovia.
I finally saw the famous roman Aqueduct of Segovia. I thought I can only see it through pictures in the internet or travel books but I was there finally. Other sights I saw were the Cathedral of Segovia, the Old City walls and the Alcazar of Segovia.

Hello everyone. It seems that I was not able to update this blog for some days. I am currently out of the country. In fact, I am currently in Madrid staying in a friend’s apartment. This is quite an adventure trip in Spain. Last Monday, I was asking some people in the house where is the nearest grocery store. After having the direction, I walked alone some hundred meters and finally reached the store. It seems that grocery items are more expensive here in Spain than in Germany. I was looking for planters peanuts but I saw different brands. Besides a pack of a 200 to 300 grams already costs from 3 to 5 Euros.
I also bought shampoos and a liquid body bath soap. Garnier shampoo is more expensive also. It costs 3.05 Euros compared to Germany which only costs 2.25 Euros and sometimes I can buy it on sale for 1.69 Euros. Food items are also quite expensive. I wonder how the people with low income are living here and meeting their ends. For sure, they have to budget everything to make it sure that all their basic needs are meet.
I will for sure give you some updates about my Spain trip when I am back to Germany.

It’s been almost a year now since our sightseeing trip in this Ligurian in north-western Italy. It is located on the Italian Riviera near the border of France. We only had some hours sightseeing there and it was not really enough to see everything. At least, we were able to see some of its top sights. One of it is the casino San Remo.
I wish to have a sunset walk along its promenade but as what I have mentioned above, our time was so limited.
