Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed celebration this Easter season.
I guess I am still having a jetlag from my recent trip in Ireland. That country is still hunting me up to now. There are just a lot of things and places that interest me in Ireland. The 7-day trip is over now but the wonderful memories and the beautiful sights I experience there will surely be treasured forever.
I am also trying to reminisce my short visit to St. Gallen. This beautiful city is situated in the northeastern part of Switzerland in a valley about 700 meters (2,300 ft) above sea level. It is one of the highest cities in Switzerland and it often receives a lot of snow in winter. The city is pleasantly situated between Lake Constance and the mountains of the Appenzell Alps (with the Säntis as the highest peak at 2,502 meters (8,209 ft)). It therefore offers excellent recreation areas nearby.

The Abbey of St. Gall in St. Gallen during my short trip last March 2013. The main tourist attraction is the Abbey of St. Gall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its renowned library contains books which date back to the 9th century.

Some friends are graduating soon in college. In fact, I also have a sister who will also be graduating in Nursing next week. I am very proud of her being a second courser and will finally be marching to get her diploma. For friends and family members who love music, a perfect gift for them might be a music instrument or gadget. I would like to buy Epiphone Les Paul as a graduation gift to my dear sister if I win the lottery this weekend. For another friend who is graduating soon, I wish I can give her the same graduation present.lolz!
To everyone who did it in college, I am so proud of you all. I wish you good luck and success in all your undertakings!

Enough from Ireland please! The more I blog and talk about it here, the more I am missing it! Let me just go back to one of my favorite cities in Europe and it is Madrid. Some of my friends there were asking when I am going back to Spain’s capital. I hope soon but for now it is not my priority since I stayed there for three weeks last year in March. Of course, I still want to visit it next time.
If you want to have a great experience in Madrid, walk on the streets of Alcala and Gran Via. Gran Vía (literally “Great Way”) is an ornate and upscale shopping street located in central Madrid. Now, the street is known as the Spanish Broadway, and is one of the streets with more nightlife in Europe. It is known as the street that never sleeps. It leads from Calle de Alcalá, close to Plaza de Cibeles, to Plaza de España.

The Alcala and Gran Via streets. I did a lot of walking during my three weeks stay in Madrid last year especially in Alcala and Gran Via streets.

That was so far a wonderful trip in Ireland! I am quite sure, I will go back again there because I still miss some things. For example, our sightseeing in Dublin did not even lasted for a half day and I really did not had the chance to experience many sights. One thing I miss in Dublin is going to its pubs. I would like to watch live music and hear Irish country folk songs.
I also miss the Celtic Dance while we were in Tralee. One of the German ladies who was with us in that group told me that they really performed good. One musician played a violin. I was just wondering if anyone from the group of these musicians uses bach stradivarius at wwbw. I did not watch it live but I already watched their video in youtube.

A music store in Sneem, where we had a short stop-over. I bought some Cds but one of the 6 CDs had a lot of scratch. (more…)

Hello Ireland! I would only like to say that I am missing you so much! I wish I am still there but I have to go back home now. Ireland is truly a country to experience when visiting Europe. I was just saddened when our 7-day trip finally came to an end. A part of my heart was left in that beautiful country. I have to go back there again to get it back. lolz!
Special thanks to our knowledgeable tour guide named Kristine who shared a lot to us about Ireland, and to our superb bus driver Matuz (not sure of the right spelling) for bringing us safe to our destinations and back to our hotels. You rock guys!

There are a lot of shops selling various products at the English market in Cork. © www.rubybenz.com
The term English Market was coined in the 19th Century to distinguish the market from the nearby St. Peter’s Market (now the site of the Bodega on Cornmarket Street), which was known as the Irish Market. (more…)
