Whose going back to Florence again? The capital of Tuscany is indeed a beautiful city. During my first visit, I did not really experienced everything. So, why not go back there when there is another chance. Thanks to this very cheap travel we booked last year. Thanks also to a friend for convincing me to go with her, or else, I won’t be going back there again this year.

The Basilica di Santa Croce (Basilica of the Holy Cross) is the principal Franciscan church in Florence, Italy, and a minor basilica of the Roman Catholic Church. It is the burial place of some of the most illustrious Italians, such as Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, Foscolo, Gentile and Rossini, thus it is known also as the Temple of the Italian Glories (Tempio dell’Itale Glorie). I had the chance to go inside this church museum.

This Ligurian town is truly a tourists magnet. No wonder it is one of the most visited coastal area in province of La Spezia. After our trip in the morning to Cararra, the famous marble quarry-town, we proceeded to Porto Venere. The weather was still sunny that afternoon but later as our tour ended, the rain started to drop. We were lucky tourists that day.

The Doria castle on the right side and the town’s gate on the left. I always find it amazing seeing historic places like this. Porto Venere is indeed a lovely town. (more…)
