I am really smiling in this photo taken in front of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France. I am very happy after visiting one of the dream places I want to go to. First of all, thanks to my dearest hubby for making this trip possible. Your great Schatz and Paris too..hehe! I am also sharing a bit history about Arc de Triomphe. Feel free to browse below. History of Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It was commissioned in 1806 after the victory at Austerlitz by Emperor Napoleon at the peak of his fortunes. Laying the foundations alone took two years, and in 1810 when Napoleon entered Paris from the west with his bride Archduchess Marie-Louise of Austria, he had a wooden mock-up of the completed arch constructed. The architect Jean Chalgrin died in 1811, and the work was taken over by Jean-Nicolas Huyot. During the Restoration, construction was halted and would not be completed until the reign of King Louis-Philippe, in 1833–36 when the architects on site were Goust, then Huyot, under the direction of Héricart de Thury. Napoleon’s body passed under it on 15 December 1840 on its way to its second and final resting place at Les Invalides.

How was everyone? I hope you are all doing great! I was absent in the blogosphere for some days. We just came back this afternoon from a 5 days so-called short vacation. We had a short but great vacation. In short we were having a great time during the days that we are away. I still want to extend it but my husband have to go to work again. There are good things and bad things that happened during our vacation. I guess I have to start with the good one. I had finally seen Paris, France. It was a great city that has a lot to offer. The bad side was that, I was eating too much again. Not really good for me. I guess, I need appetite suppressant to stop too much eating. I will share more photos later in some of my sites. Of course including this site too! have a great one to all!

What a busy day! I mean yesterday. I did not notice that it is already past midnight now and I am still awake. Anyway I am already very tired and sleepy now. I am just telling some things that I love to do including watching movies. I am a movie fan but now life have been so busy. I am always a busy body even I just stay at home. There are some movies that I love to watch again and again. One of these is tuxedo starring my favorite Jacky Chan. Did you know that I am his adopted sister…just kidding guys! I need to go to sleep now, it is almost 1:00 am. Good night!
