We received a call yesterday from a construction company who also sells and installs doors, kitchen, windows and any other home improvements. Actually that guy from the company kept on calling us last week. I did not entertain his call because I thought it was again from one of the anonymous callers who wants us to play lotto or any sort of plays. HB said that he will come on Thursday to look for our windows and will calculate how much it cost. I also told HB that we also need new blinds for the new windows. We have old windows and we really need new ones so that during winter time, it is not so cold inside the house. A not so good sealed window will let cold air inside, thus making the house colder even when our heater is running all day. I believed that it will also help us save electricity because when the new windows will be installed soon, we don’t need to let run the heaters all day long during winter time. The heat will stay inside the house because there will be no more cold wind getting inside. We will see how much is the cost for the ten windows that need replacement. In my estimate more or less 5,000 to 6,000 Euros. Wow that is already a small hut in the Philippines.

Happy Sunday! Weekend is almost ending! We might probably go walking later. I thought spring is almost coming but yesterday we had a lot of snow again. I am quite happy because the sun is shining right now which is perfect for walking.
For today’s TF entry, I have here some Bromeliads. Many people might had already seen these plants but they still don’t recognize or know its name. Bromeliads belong to the family of pineapple, also known as BROMELIACEAE which is also called in German Ananas. I guess you have an idea now about these plants. I grew thousands of these before in our garden in the Philippines for selling.

I lived for some years in Cebu and I always passed this place but only last January 2010 did I had the chance to enter it. Fort San Pedro or Fuerza San Pedro is a military defence structure, built by Spanish and indigenous Cebuano labourers under the command of Spanish conquistador, Miguel López de Legazpi and the Spanish Government in Cebu. It is located in the area now called Plaza Indepedencia, in the Pier Area of Cebu City, Philippines.
We made a tour around and the picture below is one of the photos I took. I have a personal experience to share next time during our visit. 
Fort San Pedro is the smallest, oldest triangular bastion fort in the country was built in 1738 to repel Muslim raiders. In turn, it served as a stronghold for Filipino revolutionaries near the end of the 19’th Century. This served as the nucleus of the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines.

I always love it when the sun goes down. I don’t know why but it is just a very beautiful scenery for me every time I witness it. It’s TGIF again! Thanks God it’s Friday! I can’t believed in our weather right now. It snowed awhile ago and now comes sunshine. I just remember what HB told me always, “After the rain comes sunshine.” I would also say, “After the snow, comes sunshine too”. What’s my update for today? I have to sign-off online earlier today because we are attending a birthday party of one of HB’s relatives. I also need to search for a catalogue sent to us today that offers great tv deals, cameras and computers. I am still thinking of what I am going to buy first next month. I still have around a month to decide which is which. For now, I want to wish everyone a wonderful weekend! Let’s go party!
