I took a short break to watch a TV program. I also read today the post of my sister in FB that she misses the food in the a Philippines. I guess I am dedicating this yummy picture of foods here which was taken during our lunch in Alegre Resort in Bohol, Philippines. I need some appetite suppressants the next time I am taking a vacation in my home country. I gained some pounds during my three months vacation there from last week of November 2009 to middle of February 2010. That was a great vacation!

Have you seen the smallest monkey in the world? This animal called Tarsier is found only in Southeast Asia. Tarsiers are haplorrhine primates of the genus Tarsius, a genus in the family Tarsiidae, which is itself the lone extant family within the infraorder Tarsiiformes.

I took this picture during our visit in Bohol Island last Feb. 2010. This is a very interesting animal and in the Philippines it is now considered to be in the list of endangered species. The first time I saw these animals was in 2006, also in Bohol. That was a nice experience seeing this animal again. Be sure not to turn on your camera flash when taking a picture of it.
Tarsiers are small animals with enormous eyes; each eyeball is approximately 16 mm in diameter and is as large as their entire brain. Tarsiers also have very long hind limbs. In fact, their feet have extremely elongated tarsus bones, from which the animals get their name. The head and body range from 10 to 15 cm in length, but the hind limbs are about twice this long (including the feet), and they also have a slender tail from 20 to 25 cm long. Their fingers are also elongated, with the third finger being about the same length as the upper arm. Most of the digits have nails, but the second and third toes of the hind feet bear claws instead, which are used for grooming. Tarsiers have very soft, velvety fur, which is generally buff, beige, or ochre in color. wikipedia.

I have already met a lot of friends who are married to military personnel and American soldiers. We live near the U.S. and this is where I met most of those friends. They are the so-called nomadic people who always need the help of movers everytime they move anywhere where there is a military base. Last month, I received a call from a friend in the U.S. telling me that they will be moving again to Korea. Since she is married to an American soldier, I believed she already know the life being married to a soldier and she have to understand the life of being nomadic. I guess moving is not too bad for them. The U.S. Army hires a local mover when they are assigned anywhere locally. It is also not so bad for them to move anywhere because the U.S. army is paying for all moving expenses. I even heard that when they are assigned to any U.S. Bases, everything is free from house rental to electric bills plus they also received COLA or the cost of living allowance. Correct me when I am wrong but that’s what most of my friends told me. They are even happy to be assigned outside of the U.S. because they don’t need to pay for such things.

I am done watching TV. I believed the sky in London right now is the same sky we have in Bavaria. Since it’s been raining since Friday last week in our place, the more I expected it in London which is a typical weather during spring and Autumn seasons. Sunshine is away for the whole week now. The rain still love to pour in Bavaria and I believed in the whole of Germany and maybe in Europe. I should be walking everyday because I thought we will have sunshine. This weather just give me the appetite to eat and eat and I am sad about it. I am thinking of watching atv riding online but sometimes I don’t have the desire to stay in front of my computer. Rainy weather can sometimes make me lazy also. But believed me, even with this weather I am still working in our garden almost everyday. I am taking a short break again. See you later!
