Happy Halloween everyone! I believed most kids especially in countries where Halloween is celebrated are having fun right now. Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated every October 31. Countries where this event is mostly celebrated include United Kingdom, United States, Ireland and Canada and some other more.

This is the time when activities such as trick-or-treat, wearing and attending costume parties, bonfires, watching horror movies, telling ghost stories and a lot more are being done. Christian also celebrates Halloween called as All Saints’ Day.

I hope you had a great time celebrating Halloween.

I can still remember the song “London bridge is falling down”. I used to sing this song when I was a child. I was delighted after knowing that London bridge is not really the bridge that is falling down. I mean, the bridge that is suspending. It is actually named as the Tower Bridge. Don’t be confused with London Bridge and Tower bridge. They are totally different.

Here is the right bridge that fit the song I mentioned above. I would then say, “Tower bridge is falling down”.

The tower bridge crosses the River Thames in London, England. It is 244 meters long and with a span of 61 meters. Its construction started in 1886 and was opened in June 30, 1894.

The bridge connects The Borough (Southwark, south of the river, left of picture) to the heart of the City of London Financial District.

Winter is coming soon. This is the time when the weather gets very very cold outside. It is also the time of the year when we get some cough and colds. We can be very lucky if we don’t get one. Some are taking vitamins and supplements to have resistance against sickness. We all know that vitamins are good for our body. Eating fruits and vegetables are good sources of vitamins. Since winter is coming soon in Europe, keep yourself always warm. Lucky for those people who don’t have winter in their area. Anyway, winter has also its own beauty.

This is the Notre Dame de Paris, also known as Our Lady of Paris. It is a cathedral in Paris, France with French Gothic architecture. Its construction begun in 1163 and was said to be completed in 1345. It is known to be one of the first buildings in the world that use the the flying buttress or the arched exterior supports. It was said to be saved and restored by France’s most famous architect named Eugène Viollet-le-Duc.

Notre Dame means Our Lady. I knew this since I am also a Notre Damian graduate and this is always taught in school. This was taken during my second visit in Paris last August 2010.
