I could still remember that walk we had around Place de la Concorde, a square in Paris. It was raining almost the whole day during our sightseeing. Imagine rainy days at the summit of summer season? My shoes were so wet as we went back to the hotel.

A garden called Tuileries Garden is just adjacent to Place de la Concorde and we happened to had a stroll there. It is called in French as Jardin des Tuileries which was created by Catherine de Medicis in 1564. It was opened to the public in 1667.

This is the place where the Parisians celebrated, met, promenaded, and relaxed in the 19th and 20th century.

In the beginning of the 21st century, French landscape architects Pascal Cribier and Louis Benech have been working to restore some of the early features of the garden André Le Nôtre.

It was the first time this afternoon that I went to the opening of the German-American Volksfest in Hohenfels, Germany. Despite the rainy weather, there are still a lot of people who attended the opening for this year’s festival. I guess, at the moment the live band is still playing at the feast tent in the Festplatz or festival square inside the U.S. Base in Hohenfels.

You can try some carnival rides, enjoy listening to the music or live band inside the feast tent or simply enjoy looking around. What catch my attention was a certain kiosk that also sells home address signs. Some American, Hungarian, Asian, German and Turkish delicacies are also available in some kiosks. There are also small shops that sells any goods. The festival starts today April 27 and will end on May 1, 2011. Everyone is invited to the said celebration. Have fun and stay safe!

It’s been almost a week now since I got back from my spring vacation. It seems that I am still reminiscing the places we visited last time. I still don’t feel like going home that time but the trip is over and we must go home. I simply love those places especially its beautiful beaches. It seems that I feel in love with it because its settings reminds me of my home country.

One of the places we visited was Nice, a city in France. Its name itself can truly described its natural beauty. It is simply Nice! Its nickname is called Nice la Belle which means in English, Nice the Beautiful.

I still have a lot to share about my latest spring trip but it seems that I don’t have enough energy to write it. Until now, I am still thinking about those wonderful places. Monte Carlo in Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Menton, San Remo, the Five Lands called Cinque Terre, these places are simply beautiful! I am truly contented and happy with that trip.

Nice is the capital city of the Alpes Maritimes department, and the second biggest city of the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur after Marseille. I took this image last April 16, 2011, during my spring vacation. I still want to go back there in the future. This place truly captured me!

Hello everyone! I miss the blogosphere and my friends for almost a week. I am finally back from my spring vacation. It was so far one of the best and memorable trip I ever had. I simply had a great time with friends and other travellers who were with us during the trip. Everything went great. I only wish to use one of those Osprey Backpacks the next time I go for a trip. I believed using a backpack will bring me ease especially with my stuffs.
