It’s Party Time

It’s party time again. The party last night was truly a success and memorable one. It was the birthday party of a friend’s son named Thomas. At the same time, it was also a despedida celebration or goodbye party for them. They will be leaving soon and we will surely miss their company.

A lot of foods from Filipinos to American dishes we prepared. We were also lucky to have a friendly weather yesterday. Perfect timing that we just bought a fest tables that were used during the party. Hopefully we can also buy some rustic furniture in the next parties to come.

I believed everyone truly enjoyed that great event. To Maria and family, we wish you all the best in your new assignment in the United States. Good luck and hope to see you sometime in the future.

Matthias Church in Budapest, Hungary

It was my second time visiting Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. It was also my second  chance seeing Matthias Church, located in the Buda’s Castle District. During my first visit  last  year, this church was under renovation. Until now  it is not done yet but at least you can already see that it really looks good now. I mean,  it is cleaner and brighter now. There are still some  renovation going on at the backside of this building, near the Fisherman’s Bastion.

The  Matthias Church was beautifully  lighted during our visit last June 4, 2012.  My first visit there was during day time last summer 2011.

Shopping Online

I just saw some micro SDHC cards that are on sale in Amazon.com. It is 16 GB and are really cheap. It only costs $3.60 each but when I tried to order five of it, the shipping was more expensive that the items. This is the first time I noticed it that when you order in the same seller in Amazon, you will be charged for each items not for one shipping of the quantities that you order. I ended up emptying my shopping cart and better listen to audiobooks online. I might as well browse for travel books later.

Have a nice day to all!

Visiting Nymphenburg Palace Again in Munich

I spent the last day of May 2012  visiting Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, Germany. And yes, I am also saying goodbye to May and welcoming another month again, the month of June.  So far the month of May was  a great month for me. It was a quite a busy month, very fulfilling and full of fun. I believed the month of June will be a wonderful month again for me and I hope  to all of you too.

Back to the main topic. After accompanying some friends to Munich airport, bringing a visitor for her flight back to the United States of America, we proceeded to Nymphenburg Palace. It was already my second visit to this lovely place. My first visit was last summer 2010 when I toured a friend from United Kingdom during her vacation in Germany.

This palace has baroque architecture. It was once a summer main residence of the rulers of Bavaria. King Ludwig II, king of Bavaria was born there in 1845.

Seeing historical architecture like this always amazed me. It was so far a wonderful day visiting this palace again with friends. We truly had fun.

The palace was commissioned by the prince-electoral couple Ferdinand Maria and Henriette Adelaide of Savoy to the designs of the Italian architect Agostino Barelli in 1664 after the birth of their son Maximilian II Emanuel. The central pavilion was completed in 1675.

The Art Of Horse Riding

There are a lot of people out there, both young and old who are professionals in terms of horse riding. I believed most of them went to a riding school to learn the techniques  of this sport. These people who are experts about equestrianism may use horses for cultural activities, working purposes, means of transportation or maybe as a competitive sport like what we see during Olympics.

Horse riding can be a very good sport. You need various gadgets such as saddles, stirrups and other equipment. This is not a problem because you can just go to a shop or find it in the internet.

I am also very interested about this sport but in my age, I guess I can’t no longer do it. I just love watching it. If ever I will be visiting New York City in the future, I would love to visit this historic horse equipment shop in NYC. I just find it quite interesting.

The art of horse back riding is truly a great skill and a talent.
