Throwback Thursday, The Hassan Tower in Rabat, Morocco

Travels and Memories! I have a lot to share but it seems that time is always limited. Anyway, I hope you are all having a wonderful start of the month. So far not so bad for me except that I am always tired after work.  I just wish, I am on the other side of the globe now, traveling and exploring any places or countries.

The Hassan Tower in Morocco’s capital city of Rabat. It is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco.  Begun in 1195, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque, also intended to be the world’s largest.

For now, I want to share this very interesting monument called the Hassan tower in Rabat, Morocco. This site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on July 1, 1995 in the Cultural category. It was granted World Heritage Status in 2012.

Rabat is a very interesting city in Morocco. It literally means “Fortified Place”. It is the capital and fourth largest city of Morocco. It was a memorable travel I had there during the last quarter of 2014. I also met a wonderful and kind German lady named Elisa and I am hoping to travel with her in the future.  It was only a day-trip we had in  Rabat and I wish to explore it more in the future.

I am slowly off to dreamland now. Tomorrow is another working day and I have early shift. Goodnight from Europe. I also wish everyone a great month of June!
