Another Home Project is Going On

Hello guys! Another TGIF is here and yes, happy TGIF to all!  I hope you are all doing great out there. Not really for me because I am not feeling good since the  last days. I am thankful that I am feeling  better now.

Let me go back to the main topic. This is another project that is going on right now.  I know, it was  a tough decision  when I finally decided to built another house.  I am grateful that during the past years, I  bought a lot in my home country and this is now the site where the house will stand.

Starting of the Construction

There is really no plan of building a house there  but plans changed and finally, the construction of the second home started three months ago. In short, during the last week of November 2014.

This is quite a big project. It will be done slowly but surely. I am thankful that after so many years of roaming the planet, I decided to work again to realize another  dream and that  is building another  home.  I am counting from 2-5 years until it will be fully  built and with everything on it from finishing to home furniture and fixtures, home decors and other  home accessories.

Where Did I Get the Finances

Like what I have  mentioned above, I already started working last year. I don’t want to waste the money by shopping or spending on non-sense stuffs like what other women are doing. I wanted to see a concrete result  and I believed investing it on realty like building a house, is a great idea. I also sold some part of the lot to my sister and the payment she sends monthly is also use for the construction.

The Materials Used for Building

I am making it sure that the materials are  really good. Metals, cement, gravel, sand and  hollowblocks  are the main materials.  Thanks to my dear brother who is managing the construction. I always instruct him to canvass to different hardware stores  for cheap but good materials.  He is also the one who manages before the construction of the  first home.

The Foundation of the Building

The foundation is always the most expensive part of the building.  I don’t really care if we spend a lot of money for this. With the earthquake that is  visiting Philippines from time to time, I want to make it sure that the  building can survive when it attacks…. I  hope not. Imagine  the foundation is dug 2 meters below the ground and  the main posts which are made of  iron  are securely wrapped in another box  of iron. I will  share this in another post.  One foundation can already consumed 10 sacks of 100 kilos of cement mixed with sand.  I believed it is already a good foundation.

I am hoping that this project will be done from 2-5 years. If I can finish it in 2 years, that would be great. Investing on realty is good especially that it is always appreciating quickly,  depending on the location of your property.

Good luck to me and my family! so help us Lord of Builders and Engineers!
