Highlights for the Month of August
It is finally official for me to say “Hello September”? How’s your first day of the first BER month of 2014 ? I believed our American friends who are celebrating their Labor Day today are having time off from work and some might be currently on a short holiday, or maybe just relax at home and will do a BBQ party in the afternoon. That sounds good. Enjoy but be safe!
I would like to say goodbye to one of my favorite months of the year, the month of August. So many great things happened last month but it was also coupled with sadness. I believed, this is life, it is not perfect at all and we have to accept it. Over all, last month was still a wonderful one.
Here are the highlights so far from last month;
A little landscaping in front of the house.
Home Improvements Going On
Some projects are going on at the moment. Yesterday, I had a chat with my siblings. They mentioned that there are some repairs and improvement going on in my retirement home. They also hired a landscaper who did some landscaping especially in front of the house. I am happy with the outcome and it inspired me seeing the pictures they sent yesterday.
August is my Birthday Month
I am very grateful for another year given to my life and everyday of it. Thanks to all friends, family, former classmates and colleagues, acquaintances, online friends, blogger friends and facebook friends around the globe who remembered my big day. I feel awesome with all your sweet greetings. Sad to say, no birthday celebration this year as I prefer to take a short holiday.
I would say, it was my birthday trip and it was already planned some months ago. I did enjoyed that week holiday and visited some historic places in the country. Among the few ones are Częstochowa, Wrocław, Opole, Krakow of Cracow and more.
Just Started a Job
After some years of traveling and having a partly nomadic life, I finally settled temporarily and started a job. Last August 18, 2014 was my first day at the workplace. The first days were tough but then from day to day, it is getting better. I meet new people everyday and I guess, my colleagues are just fine to work with. Of course, you cannot avoid that there are really people who are different and have their own world. As long as I am doing my job, I really don’t care about people who don’t care at all. yay!
Father Was Confined at the Hospital…Again
I was really sad after hearing it from my sister. It was the second time that my father was confined this year. I am thankful that it was not really that serious and he is also released after some days of staying in the hospital. I hope and pray that he will still be given some good years in his life. I am helpless everytime it happened because I am thousands of miles away from home and cannot even comfort him. I wish I can go home again soon.
A Friend gave Birth to a Baby Girl
I was happy for a friend after giving birth to a baby girl. It was indeed a blessing to their family. Congratulations to both of them.
September, I am gladly welcoming this month. I hope and pray that this month will be a great and blissful one. Not much trials and problems especially to my family.
